An Art Filled Sou’Wester Wedding
a documentary, colorful and art filled summer wedding in Seaview, Washington
Ash and Joel were wed at the Sou’ Wester, an inn housed on Washington’s long beach peninsula. Ash and Joel sang handwritten vows, did all of their own florals and created incredible ceramic centerpieces. They were surrounded by all of their favorite people and their own art.
Ash and Joel’s sou’wester wedding :
Ash and Joel’s wedding celebration was planned by them and their closest friends and family. They planned their celebration to be held at Sou’Wester, a place that Ash had come and completed artist residencies at and honed in on her ceramic practice. Sou’Wester is a kitschy inn located via Route 101 across the Astoria–Megler Bridge. Their wedding felt like a warm hug and the day was spent giggling, dancing and soaking in the beauty all around. Warm, energetic, candid, genuine, their wedding could not have been more fun. Ash wore a Kamperett dress, paired with a pair of blush Sézane heels. Joel donned a vintage suit and button up combo. To tie in their love of art, guests created drawings during their ceremony to encapsulate the day while their good friend read a haiku. Joel sang Ash a song he wrote about her in place of spoken vows. Ash created beautiful ceramic centerpieces for their guests to view and a backdrop of two swans kissing to watch over everyone dancing. Ash and Joel created an intimate, stress-free and fun environment to celebrate their love, displaying the epitome of how a wedding celebration should feel!
