A Mt. Tabor Park Engagement Session // Natalie and Kelli
A Mt. Tabor Park Engagement Session // Natalie and Kelli
Last July Kelli, Natalie and I spent the early evening together as I photographed their engagement session on film. Mount Tabor is easily one of the most picturesque locations in Portland. It showcases a full view of downtown Portland and is filled with lush douglas furs. The hardest part of shooting in Mt. Tabor park is choosing the right location, as the park is quite expansive. My personal favorite spot is on top of one of the hills, just past Reservoir 5. In the evening the sun shines through the trees and the light is perfectly diffused. Kelli and Natalie wanted photos that felt authentic to an evening in their day to day lives. We decided on a park date, followed up with one of Portland’s coolest wine bars.
As the sun finally set, Kelli, Natalie and I ventured from the park to Company wine bar, where the bartenders kindly allowed us to float around their space and take some sweet photographs. Company is conveniently tucked off of Portland’s famous Belmont Avenue, a street filled with top notch cocktails and bites. Company is located in a garage space and evokes a similar feeling to a chill, yet upscale living room hang. This created the perfect backdrop for photos as Kelli and Nat sipped on some local pours.
