In the early spring of this year, I had the privilege of photographing engagement photos in the Columbia River Gorge. When Heather and Alex reached out, their main priority for their photos was to be surrounded by nature. This is not hard to come by in the Pacific Northwest, of course. With its picturesque views, dense forests and jagged rocky cliffs, the Columbia River Gorge served as the perfect location for this session. There are endless locations to photograph throughout the Gorge, but the one that always comes to mind is the Strawberry Loop trail. An hour and forty minutes outside of Portland and easily walkable, the whole trail is absolutely stunning.

Throughout our time together taking photos, we walked along the loop. The movement and constant changes in scenery provided such depth to their gallery. I love a location that consists of many stops and breaks throughout, this gives a more room for comfortability and aid in a more “candid” experience.
